As January fast approaches, the air is brewing with New Year excitement.

From live music to bustling market deals, there's plenty of offerings in and around Malvern and the surrounding areas to start 2024 on a high note.

Jazz Jam
People can look forward to having a laid-back, relaxed evening event with Jazz Jam.

Open from 7.30pm, attendees can pay £4 at the door for a musical evening that happens on the first Friday of each month.

Music lovers can listen to bossa, funk, blues, shuffle, bebop, samba, jazz waltz, swing and more.

The event takes place at West Malvern Social Club on January 5.

CBSO Viennese New Year Gala
The CBSO Viennese New Year Gala is a musical event featuring soprano Francesca Chiejina.

This will be an evening of waltzes, playful polkas, and operetta romance orchestrated by Johann Strauss and friends.

Starting from 7.30pm, the performance will take place at Malvern Theatres.

Live Christmas Music at Brockhampton
On the musical front, Brockhampton is hosting a number of musical groups. On January 6, the Humpshire Huffers will be performing seasonal music between 11am and 3pm, adding an extra touch of magic to the start of the new year.

The Round Market – General Market

Fresh local produce, crafts, and other products including plants, pastries, and artisan items, are showcased at the historic Round Market at Tenbury Wells, which is open every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am to 3pm.

Traders can get an outdoor pitch for a mere £10 a day.

Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra: New Year Concert
Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra is ushering in the New Year with a concert at Pershore Abbey.

The orchestra will be led by Graham Longfils and conducted by Joe Davies to start 2024.

The concert's highlights include works from Beethoven, Faure, Elgar and Strauss.

Tickets are available for £15 for adults, while under 16s can enjoy the concert for free.
