A project to teach people in West Worcestershire basic cookery skills has received the backing of its MP.
Last year, MP Harriett Baldwin helped launch a Community Fridge project in Malvern Link.
Now, the MP has visited St Matthias Church to donate ingredients and hear about the cookery skills project, which will see volunteers help people learn core cookery skills such as using a microwave to cook pasta.
She said: "I was extremely interested to learn about the project to help people pick up basic cookery skills and I made a little donation of my own to help get the effort going.
“At this time of year, it is so important to look out for people who may be less well off than ourselves, or who may need a little extra support, and I am proud that across West Worcestershire, there are so many big-hearted people who are eager to help out.”
