Two Worcestershire businesses joined forces to create Christmas hampers for children and young adults in need.
Neoperl UK and Lucart teamed up with YSS "to make a meaningful difference" in the lives of those facing challenges during the festive season.
Neoperl and Lucart’s employees collected toys, toiletries, food items, Christmas socks and chocolate treats over the past couple of weeks.
It meant that more than 150 hampers would be distributed to people via YSS over the next few weeks.
Neoperl’s managing director, Mike Burton, said: "We were delighted to support this incredible local cause.
"Our staff have been instrumental in leading the donations and we are passionate about supporting our local community.
"Working with YSS has given us an opportunity to support local people who need it the most. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas."
Lucart’s managing director, Jonny Wilks, said: "At Lucart Hygiene Ltd, we firmly believe in giving back to our community, especially during the festive season. This year, we've decided to support YSS by contributing to their Christmas hampers.
"Our aim is to bring some holiday cheer to people who might be facing challenges, ensuring they feel valued and supported during this special time of year.
"For us as a company, this initiative is more than just a charitable act, it's an opportunity to reinforce our commitment to social responsibility and strengthen our connection with the community.
"We hope that our contribution not only makes a positive impact, but also inspires others to join in on the spirit of giving.
"Together, we can make a difference and spread the true essence of this special time of year."
YSS’ partnerships manager, Andrew Prince-Burns, expressed the charity’s gratitude for the support, adding: "We are incredibly thankful for Neoperl's and Lucart’s generosity and commitment to making a positive impact in our community.
"Their staff’s kindness and drive to make a difference to the most marginalised individuals aligns perfectly with our mission, and we are excited to work together to bring joy and some Christmas cheer to those who need it most."
On December 12 staff members from Neoperl and YSS staff gathered at Neoperl’s main offices to get in the spirit of Christmas and assemble a number of the hampers.
The collection of the hampers continued on December 15 from both businesses so that they could be distributed across Malvern and Worcester over the following days.
YSS is a charity that supports the most marginalised young people, adults and families across Worcestershire.
