From being named a place home to the best Japanese restaurant in the UK to the best Marston's pub, we have become quite the hub for award-winning venues.

We have compiled a list of all the Worcester restaurants and pubs that were victorious in 2023.

Maneki Ramen - UK's best Japanese restaurant

Where: Arch 45, Worcester WR1 3BH

Staff at a city restaurant were celebrating after being named one of the best Japanese restaurants in the country.

It won the title of Best Japanese Restaurant in the annual Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) and was up against four national candidates who were in the running for the title.

Gurkha Majestic Dining - best Nepalese restaurant 2023

Where: Worcester Rd, Droitwich WR9 8AB

For the second year running, Gurkha Majestic Dining, was awarded the best Nepalese restaurant at the English Curry Awards 2023.

Restaurant manager Anuj Dhakal said: "Winning an award is a big achievement for us yet again.

"All of our front staff and kitchen staff's hard work is being recognised."

Rose & Crown - Marstons Pub of the Year

Where: Severn Stoke, Worcester WR8 9JQ

The Rose & Crown in Severn Stoke was named Marstons Pub of the Year at the Great British Pub Awards.

The community-spirited pub, which has suffered three floods in as many years, fought off competition from five other pubs to scoop the prize.

Burger Shop - scooped two Good Food Awards

Where: Arch 46 Cherry Tree Walk, Worcester WR1 3BH

The restaurant based in Worcester had secured a double award for the quality of its food, leaving the owners 'thrilled'. 

Burger Shop in Cherry Tree Walk, Worcester had a double victory at the Good Food Awards in both Worcester and Hereford.

Francini Cafe de Colombia - Good Food Award

Where: Angel Place, Worcester WR1 3QN

The popular family-run café in Worcester city centre was named in the Good Food Awards 2023/34.

Owner Francini Osorio was delighted and 'very surprised' that his café made the prestigious list.
