MALVERN schoolchildren have helped pay tribute to servicemen and women ahead of Remembrance Day.

Youngsters from a number of primary schools made poppies to decorate ‘Tommy’, a silhouette sculpture of a soldier installed by West Mercia Police.

“The schools that have taken part are St Matthias Primary, Malvern Parish Primary, Madresfield Primary and The Wyche C of E Primary,” said a police spokesperson.

“Thank you to all the children and teachers who have made this possible.

“Showing off their poppies are Beatrice from The Wyche Primary, Autumn from Madresfield Primary and Hallie from St Matthias Primary.”
