Haunted road trip in the West Midlands this Halloween

The hypothetical Halloween road trip is 215 miles long and takes six hours to complete, starting at The Commandery, home to one of the most famous of Worcestershire’s ghosts, the Duke of Hamilton.

You’ll pass over the border to Shropshire to visit the Feathers Hotel which Holts says is a nice place for a well-earned rest provided you don’t mind sharing a room with a vengeful spirit with a particular dislike for the ladies.

In West Bromwich, the timber frame of the Oak House Museum is said to hold a "sinister secret or two".

You can add Tutbury Castle to your road trip, despite it being located in the East Midlands. The medieval ruin of Tutbury Castle plays host to a full programme of paranormal events, according to Holts.
