A NEW guidebook about Malvern Priory has been published, shedding light on some of the finest medieval stained glass in England.
The Friends of Malvern Priory have announced the arrival of a new Priory Guidebook – “A Tour of Great Malvern Priory” by local expert, Katherine Little.
The guide book brings a new focus to ancient church and has kept abreast of recent developments at the church, including the conservation of some of the famous medieval glass.
Anne Eglington, chairman of The Friends of Malvern Priory, said: "Katherine’s knowledge and love of the Priory building is outstanding. She is well-known for her interest in the Priory’s medieval-stained glass.
"The new guidebook has expanded sections on the Priory’s stained glass, medieval tiles, misericords and the exterior of the building with new stunning photos in a larger format than previously. It also includes updates on the conservation work done since the 2016 edition ie. the North Porch and the Creation Window."
The Guidebook costs £5 and all the profits go towards the work and ministry of the Priory church. It is available from the Friends’ Priory Shop, which also sells a wide selection of cards and gifts.
