HISTORY came alive at a Worcestershire showground at the weekend.
The Upton-upon-Severn Showground was the host for battles and hands-on displays throughout the weekend (September 16-17).
It was the first time the showground had been the host after the event had built a track record at Spetchley, near Worcester.
Re-enactors from across the county attended recreating various historical periods and providing displays including the weaponry and military tactics of the various eras depicted.
Worcestershire Living History Show, formerly the M5 Show in Spetchley, has gained a reputation for its multi-period of re-enactment covering 2,000 years of history.
More than 500 re-enactors took part in the vent
The event also included a beer tent and food and drink for visitors to watch.
A spokesman for the event said: "It is the biggest show of its kind in the area, in our new location at the heart of Upton-upon-Severn."
