Four people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a head-on crash on the motorway in the early hours of the morning.
A white Seat Arona and a black BMW 320D were involved in the crash just after midnight on the M50.
West Mercia Police said the air ambulance the three occupants of the Seat suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to Bristol Southmead Hospital.
βThe BMW driver had life changing injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham,β a spokesperson said.

"The collision resulted in the total closure of the motorway between Junction 1 and Junction 2 westbound.β
The road remains closed on the westbound carriageway while police investigations and clean-up work continues.
