AN 'out of control' dog has been seized by police after chasing a window cleaner who had to jump over a fence to escape.
Nicholas Leeson, a self-employed window cleaner from Worcester, was cleaning windows at Orchid Court in Malvern when he was chased by a dog he believed to be either a Bull Mastiff or a Pitbull.
He managed to escape the dog's pursuit, but described the experience as "petrifying".

Mr Leeson said: "After I finished, I made my way back to the front of the flats to speak to the client and there was a man with the dog about 20 yards away in a communal area without a leash.
"As soon as it saw me, it snarled and ran at me. I was petrified. Luckily there was a low, waist-high fence that was quite sturdy for me to jump over."
Mr Leeson injured himself in the process of jumping over the fence, resulting in him having to take time off work.
He said: "I visited the doctor's after the ordeal and they believe it may been a torn muscle, which has impacted my ability to do my job.
"As I was laying on the floor on the other side of this fence, the dog was jumping at the fence but thankfully did not get over.
"The owner had no control at all, and even when he was trying to call the dog over it was running away."
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, August 22, police responded to a report of a dog out of control in the Poolbrook area of Malvern.
"During the incident, a man’s arm was injured as he attempted to get away from the dog. The dog has been seized by police.”
Mr Leeson believes the situation could have been a lot worse if there had not been a fence to jump over.
He said: "My main concern is although I was fairly unscathed I have had to take time off of work. If that had been a child or an elderly person the outcome could have been horrendous.
"I am a dog owner myself and I love animals, and I do not think it's the dog's fault most of the time. The owners need to be in control. It needs to be brought into the public domain."
