The Proclaimers have had to pull out of a Worcestershire festival.
And rockers 10cc are set to take their place headlining Upton upon Severn’s Sunshine Festival next weekend.
Scottish pop favourites the Proclaimers - made up of brothers Charlie and Craig Reid = have had to cancel a number of upcoming gigs due to Charlie suffering voice loss.
A statement from the band said: “Sadly with Charlie having just suffered voice loss linked to having a perforated eardrum, it has been further diagnosed that he cannot perform over the next few weeks and accordingly The Proclaimers have had to cancel their performance on August 27 at the Sunshine Festival Worcestershire.”
Charlie added: “I’m very sorry that I can’t play this show and thanks everyone for all their fantastic support over the tour.”
Organisers of the festival, which takes place from August 24-28, have worked quickly to find a replacement - and say they’ve already had a positive reaction from fans.

A festival spokesperson said: “Among the most inventive and influential bands in the history of popular music, 10cc are one of the very few acts to have achieved commercial, critical and creative success in equal measure.
“10cc has sold more than 30 million albums around the world and the band’s longevity is testament to their timeless songs, as is their continuing to traverse the globe and play countries as disparate as Iceland and South Africa, Latvia and Japan, as well as across Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Canada and the US.
“We are privileged and delighted to welcome them back to Sunshine Festival.”
The band is coming straight to Sunshine Festival after completing its tour of Australia.
10CC join Ronan Keating, Marc Almond, Gilbert O Sullivan, China Crisis, Cutting Crew, Bad Manners, Sad Cafe, The Beat, The Wurzels, Barrioke, and Timmy Mallett amongst a star-studded line up for this year's festival.
