Hundreds of people have come out to support a new arts market in Great Malvern.
En Plein Air is an arts and crafts fair taking place on Belle Vue Island every Sunday afternoon.
The second weekly event took place on Sunday, August 13 and was attended by more than 450 people.
“We are really grateful for fantastic support from local artists, people of Malvern and lots of visitors,” said co-organiser Polly Reehal.
“Everybody enjoyed the day. We are happy to keep on expanding the market so any artists or craftspeople who are looking to show and sell their work are invited to call 07985693393 and book a pitch on the market.”
Music from local band The Cocktail Hour provided an afternoon of entertainment for everybody to enjoy in the sunshine.
Tina Iacovelli, who runs a shop of the same name in Belle Vue Terrace, said it had been an amazing day for business.
“It coincided with the launch of our new ladies clothing collection and our new giftware range, so the crowds have been a double bonus for us,” she said.

Artist Graham Davies won the Bluebell pub award for the best stall and carried off a voucher for a meal for two at the pub. His gift token was presented by Polly Reehal.
Another local artist, Jim Hanlon, was so pleased with his sales results he gave a largedonation to Amaze, the homeless charity based in Great Malvern, to help them with their work.
Organisers say the event was only made possible by the efforts of Rebecca Probert from the economic development unit at Malvern Hills District Council and sponsorship from Malvern Gin and the Mount Pleasant Hotel.
“The event was busy from the moment it opened at 10am,” said co-organiser Chris Lee. “The sunshine was on our side, it made for a wonderful day.
“Don’t forget the market is running again every Sunday and next week there will be a special twist - we are inviting all visitors to bring a picnic with them so they can sit and listen to the amazing music from the cocktail hour all afternoon.
“There were lots of new artists exhibiting this week including Iain, a blacksmith from Colwall demonstrating some amazing wrought iron items.”
