A FIRE station is throwing open its doors to the public throughout the month.
Malvern Fire Station’s doors will be open to the public on Safety Saturdays during August.
The White Watch crew will be joined by prevention volunteers at the Worcester Road station every Saturday in the month from 2pm until 5pm.
Members of the community are encouraged to pop in to get some home fire safety advice, have any questions answered and to see what the station has to offer.
They will be able to arrange to have detection equipment fitted if required to tie in with the National Fire Chiefs Council’s smoke alarm purchasing campaign throughout August.
The Safety Saturday sessions will run on August 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Malvern Fire Station is made up of both wholetime and on-call firefighters.
It boasts two Scania fire engines and a Mercedes sprinter vehicle for rescues as well as a Land Rover and an Argocat that are used for off-road firefighting and transporting personnel, casualties and equipment in remote locations.
For more details, call the station on 01684 572948 or email Whitewatch41@hwfire.org.uk.
