A 38-year-old man has appeared in court accused of assaulting his wife and putting her in fear of violence.
Billal Hussain of Baxters Walk, Malvern, had already denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm and harassment causing fear of violence when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Thursday.
The husband appeared in court one for the alleged ABH attack on his wife in Malvern on June 17 last year. The alleged harassment, which is also denied, is said to have taken place between November 1, 2021 and June 30 last year and is said to have caused her 'fear of violence'. Not guilty pleas to both matters were entered on July 8.
A trial date was set for September 25 at Worcester Magistrates Court, starting at 10am.
The use of screens for the complainant was granted. Hussain was granted bail on the condition he has no contact with the complainant.
