Do you have an idea to make Malvern a greener, healthier or more connected place?
Malvern Hills District Council (MHDC) is encouraging individuals, organisations, and businesses to come forward with ideas.
Working with crowdfunding platform Spacehive, MHDC is launching Crowdfund Malvern Hills which gives local people the opportunity to create and deliver projects that aim to enhance the district.
Along with ongoing promotional advice and support, projects that sign up to the Crowdfund Malvern Hills can receive a donation from MHDC, as well as donations from backers within the community to help reach their fundraising target.

Over the past few years MHDC has worked with Spacehive to support 82 successful projects across the district, which have raised a total of more than £500,000 from over 2,100 backers.
Projects have ranged from a community transport bus in Tenbury and wildlife conservation on the Malvern Hills, to combating social isolation in Malvern and providing support for residents in Upton following the Covid-19 pandemic.
For those wanting to know more about how to get involved, MHDC is holding a launch event at Malvern Cube on August 3, from 2pm to 3.30pm.
The event will include guest speakers offering information on what funding is available, advice on creating a project and how to run it on the platform, as well as providing specialist support.
Guest speakers include Sarah Nickolds, partnership manager at Spacehive, Nicola Turrell, manager of Malvern Cube, Malvern Hills district councillors and successful project creators.
Cllr Tom Wells, leader and portfolio holder for communities at the council, said: “Whether your project is big or small, it can still make a difference to the community.
“We are encouraging groups, organisations, businesses and individuals to come forward with their ideas so we can help make them a reality. Project creators will receive guidance and support every step of the way.”
