UP to 200 homes could be built in a new housing development in Malvern.
Plans for “new homes and public open space” are being prepared by Hallam Land Management, which specialises in getting planning permission for big developments before selling the land to housebuilders.
The development is being proposed for land at Cales Farm, bordering Broadlands Drive and Sayers Avenue near the Malvern Vale development.
The developer would not say how many homes are planned, but the site is earmarked for up to 200 homes as part of the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP).
More details are expected to be revealed at a drop-in event being held at Malvern Vale Community Centre on Monday, July 24.
A flyer posted to residents this week reads: “Hallam Land Management are preparing proposals for new homes and public open space on land at Cales Farm, Malvern.
“We invite you to attend a public exhibition drop-in event to find out more about the emerging plans, meet the team and ask questions and provide us with your feedback.”
The session runs from 3.30pm to 7pm in the community centre’s Beacon Room.
A spokesperson said Hallam Land Management is hoping for a good turnout as it starts the process of consultation with residents.
"We'll have a high-level concept plan and people will be able to ask questions."
They said the company has already written to local councils and planning officers.

Cales Farm is included in the revised SWDP, which sets out where thousands of new homes and key infrastructure will be built across the south of the county by 2041.
According to the plan, up to 200 homes would be built at Cales Farm.
Overall, more than a thousand homes are expected to be built in Malvern in the next 20 years.
Also included in the SWDP is Tunnel Hill, near Upton Upon Severn.
Plans to build 70 new homes off Saffron Grove in the village were submitted to Malvern Hills District Council last month.
Developer Kendrick Homes said the development would include affordable housing and provide “a logical extension to the village of Tunnel Hill”.
But neighbours are unhappy with the plans, claiming they’d been told the field would not be built on anytime soon.
Villagers have also expressed concern about the additional strain an influx of people would put on existing services in Upton.
