A MALVERN takeaway has been serving up burgers to car enthusiasts - including TV star Richard Hammond.
Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen catered for a car meet at The Smallest Cog, a vehicle restoration business in Hereford owned by the former Top Gear presenter.
And Hammond couldn’t resist trying out one of Hillbilly’s popular burgers for himself.
A spokesperson for Hillbilly’s said: “We served up our signature artisan burgers to Richard Hammond along with many other car enthusiasts at the car meet.

“We also got to catch up with our friends from Carboretter Coffee while we were there.”
The celebrity encounter was the latest highlight for Hillbilly’s, which has made a big splash in a relatively short time since it opened in Malvern Link.
The takeaway hit the headlines in December when it gave away 100 free burgers to thank you for the warm welcome it had received in the town.
This led hundreds of hungry burger fans to queue up in the freezing cold in order to bag themselves a free meal.
In April, Hillbilly’s revealed it was working on something its customers had been asking about ever since it opened.
As well as serving up burgers, staff are also busy renovating the unit next door to the Hillbilly’s takeaway in Fir Tree Walk.
The former Arek ‘O’ Barbers is to become a cafe during the day, serving HB food, coffee and cake.
It will then switch to become an eat-in Hillbilly’s restaurant in the evenings.
“We expect to open this summer, but do not have an exact date yet,” said Molly Brittain of Hillbilly’s.
“We are very excited for this new venture as having a dine in option has been requested since we opened.”
Richard Hammond opened The Smallest Cog in 2021 alongside Neil, Anthony and Andrew Greenhouse, who had been working on his cars for years.
Hammond, who lives near Ross-on-Wye, admitted earlier this year the business hadn’t made any money yet.
But, he told the motoring podcast Fueling Around, he remains determined to make it work.
