A DEAD dog hidden in a 'builders bag' at the side of a road was rescued by a good Samaritan who called the ordeal "incredibly sad".
Heather I'Anson, of Malvern, collected the staffy on Monday evening (May 29) at the end of King's End Road in Powick.
Mrs I'Anson said the dog was hidden away in a bag and wrapped in a sheet.

She said: "I do not know the full circumstances of how this poor dog came to be left where she was but it is incredibly sad.
"She was left in long grass, wrapped in a builders bag, along a popular dog walking route.
"She was a pretty light tan staffy with a white blaze on her chest. It certainly does affect you seeing something like that.
"She was seen by a few people throughout the day but, of course, it is difficult to know what to do in that situation."
Mrs I'Anson, who works as a professional pet sitter, first saw the reports on social media and decided to go collect the dog herself that evening.
She said: "I noticed people talking about it in a Facebook group online at the start of the day, and by the evening it was still reported to be there.
"I thought to myself that it cannot stay where it is out left alone in the sun for another day so I went to go and pick it up myself.
"It took me a little while to find it but I eventually came across it dumped at the end of the road in among the long grass.
"I was worried she was involved in fighting at first but after checking her over I could not see any injuries or wounds. She also looked young."
