PUPILS, staff and parents at a Malvern primary school took part in a day of fun activities inspired by a teacher who took part in the London Marathon.
Sara Hernandez-Cox, who works at Malvern Wells CE Primary School, tackled the world-famous challenge to raise funds for ARCOS, the Association for Rehabilitation of Communication and Oral Skills, which is based in Malvern.
It was not only her first London Marathon, but the first marathon she'd ever run, so she was really pleased to finish in four hours, 29 minutes.
And once she was back at the school, she helped organise the event, which saw pupils taking turns to run around the playground until they had covered the equivalent of the 26-mile marathon.
She said: "It was a really great day and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it.
“The children loved wearing the t-shirts that ARCOS provided; it really made them feel part of a team.
"It went so well that we're thinking of making it an annual event," she said.
