A 54-YEAR-OLD alleged thief will now face a trial after being accused of stealing coffee and baby milk.
Paul Standen appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court to deny two charges of theft from a shop.
The prosecution alleges Standen, of Elgar Avenue, Malvern, stole Kenco coffee worth £15 and baby milk, worth £26.75, from One Stop Community Store on November 28 last year.
Mark Turnbull, defending, confirmed that the identification of Standen as the thief would be disputed at the expected two-hour trial.
Trevor Burgess, chairman of the magistrates bench, told Standen to return to the court for his trial on July 10.
Standen was given unconditional bail.
Melanie Winterflood appeared for the prosecution during the hearing which was held at the court on Thursday, (May 4).
