A POPULAR Malvern takeaway is planning to offer a dine-in experience.
Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen has proved a hit with customers since opening in Malvern Link last year.
But burger fans have been asking whether Hillbilly’s would open a sit-down restaurant in addition to the takeaway.
Now it is expanding into the unit next door, with staff currently busy renovating the former Arek ‘O’ Barbers in Fir Tree Walk.
In a Facebook post, Hillbilly’s teased: “We are getting the paint brushes out for the second time.
“We are not going to reveal all yet but you may have noticed there has been some activity in the unit next to HBs.
“We are so excited to bring you what you’ve been asking for since we opened. Any guesses?”
Molly Brittain, of Hillbilly’s, gave us a few more details of what is planned.
“This will be a cafe during the day serving HB food, coffee and cake,” she said. “It will then switch into an eat-in HBs restaurant in the evening.
“We expect to open this summer, but do not have an exact date yet.
“We are very excited for this new venture as having a dine in option has been requested since we opened.”
To thank Malvern for the warm reception it has given Hillbilly’s, the takeaway gave away 100 free burgers in December.
Despite freezing temperatures, hundreds of people queued up with the first 100 getting a free burger. Customers also had the option to buy chips and drinks to go with their free meal.
Hillbilly’s is currently giving customers the chance to win vouchers and branded merchandise.
Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen will be giving away a golden envelope with every order over £25.
Four customers will get a golden ticket, which gives them Hillbilly’s merch plus a £50 voucher.
There are also silver and bronze tickets up for grabs, as well as codes for free fries, burgers and discounts.
