A uniquely Malvern tradition is set to take place this weekend.
The Malvern Well Dressing and Water Festival will see more than 50 wells decorated on this year’s theme - Kings and Queens.
The theme is a nod to the upcoming coronation of King Charles but volunteers will have their own interpretations in mind as they dress the wells on Friday, April 28.
Judging takes place on Satuday, April 29 and a prize-giving ceremony will take place during a free family fun day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 1.

The event runs from 10am to 5pm in Priory Park and celebrates the story of spring water in Malvern, including the Victorian Water Cure.
There are creative clay workshops, circus skills workshops and more taking place throughout the day, as well as face painting, inflatables, live music on the bandstand and refreshments from Horse Box Coffee Cart, Smokey Dough Pizza, The Beefy Boys, Three Bears Bakery and Divine Donuts.
Across the bank holiday weekend there are minibus tours organised by Malvern Spa Association. These last two-and-a-half hours and feature expert commentary.
Tickets are £15 from the Tourist Information Centre.
Anyone wishing to walk, cycle or drive, can downloaded from the Malvern Well Dressing Facebook page.
Musical performances and blessings will also be taking place at a number of the wells - full details are available at malvernspa.org.
There’ll be a few days in which to see the wells all dressed up - dismantling of the decorations begins on Wednesday, May 3 and the festival finishes on Sunday, May 7 with a closing ceremony at North Malvern Clock Tower.
Well Dressing organiser Rick Banbury said: “What a marvellous theme Kings and Queens is, so fitting for the build-up to the coronation.
“While for those who are less engaged, there’s a mass of possibilities including nursery rhymes, fairy tales, rock stars and drag artists. This theme has it, to excite dressers to make wonderful creations come Mayday.”
