A CAR crashed into a BT pole with other drivers asked to avoid the road for several hours.
The driver was checked over by West Midlands Ambulance for any injuries following the crash on Barnards Green Road yesterday afternoon (Monday, April 17).
Firefighters were also at the scene to make the car safe.

Police had warned people to avoid the road for several hours but it was reopened just over an hour later.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "At 4.40pm on Monday, April 17 police attended a one car collision on Barnards Green Road in Malvern.
"The car involved had hit a BT pole, the driver was taken checked over by the West Midlands Ambulance service.
"No one was arrested.
"Hereford and Worcestershire Fire service attended to make the car safe.
"The road was re-opened at around 5.45pm."
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said nobody was trapped in the car.
A spokesperson said: "We mobilised an appliance from Malvern at 4.52pm and found only one vehicle was involved in the crash.
"No persons were trapped at the scene and the individual driving was able to get themselves out of the car."
