A couple of childhood sweethearts are celebrating their Diamond Wedding this week.
Arthur and Suzanne Wagstaff, from Malvern, are hoping for an important message from King Charles as they celebrate the milestone anniversary.
The couple met as children aged 11 while wood sawing in Birtsmorton - and have been inseparable ever since.
Arthur is well-known in Malvern as he spent most of his career working for Wireless Supply Depot as a television engineer, while Suzanne worked until the birth of her daughter Judith at Kendals in Great Malvern, even getting the chance to walk the catwalk for them.
The couple married 60 years ago when Arthur was 21 and Suzanne 20, at St Gregorys Church, Castlemorton.
Suzanne was given away by her father William Hedges, Arthur’s best man was his brother Bill and bridesmaid was Paula Evans, nee Street.
The couple’s daughter Jude said: “They are not known for public shows of affection, but are rarely seen apart, doing everything together. Their love for each other is apparent for all to see.”
They are now great-grandparents.
The couple's family include daughter Jude, son-in-law Paul, granddaughter Gemma, her husband Michael and great-granddaughter Jessica.
