A free family-friendly festival has revealed when it will be taking place this summer.
But Mappfest 2023 still needs to secure additional funding before it can go ahead.
Andy Mapp, who founded the festival as a garden party in 2009, said the response to a call for funds has been “fantastic”.
But he added: “We are still looking for sponsors, there is lots to pay for - toilets, PA, fuel, first aid etc - and we always want to make the festival bigger and better.
“It’s so important that it remains free and is nothing to do with the council - it’s 100% for the people.”

More than £800 has been donated on the festival’s GoFundMe page and Malvern Hills Lions Club have pledged that as soon as the fundraiser reaches £1,750, they will donate the final £250 needed to reach the £2,000 target.
“People have been brilliant coming forward with offers of help,” said Andy.
“We have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds over the years and have managed to help 15 or 20 different local charities.”
When is Mappfest 2023?
This year, Mappfest will be raising funds for Maggs Day Centre, which helps homeless people in Worcester, and Headway Worcestershire, which works with people affected by acquired brain injury.
The full line-up for the festival, which will take place on Malvern Link Common on June 17 and 18, has yet to be announced, but Andy has been dropping teasers on the Mappfest Facebook page, including a post mentioning the band Cadence Noir.
“This year we’re focusing on local bands,” said Andy. “But there are some headliners that are more well-known and will be coming from a bit further afield.”
It is hoped the popular Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will once again make an appearance at the event and there will also be bouncy castles and fairground rides, a fully-licensed bar, food vendors and more.

A free fundraising event featuring live music will take place at The Newtown Club in Malvern on April 15 and another is planned for the Chestnut Tree Inn in Worcester.
