A man has been charged with arson following a house fire in Malvern.
Matthew Wright, from Clayfield Drive in Malvern, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
This comes after West Mercia Police were called to reports of a house fire in Worcester Road in the early hours of Tuesday, March 7.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Wright, 26, is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday, March 18).
Emergency services were called to a fire at the Station House, on the grounds of Malvern Link railway station, at around 2.30am on March 7.
Following a review of CCTV, West Mercia Police stated the incident was being treated as arson.
Chloe and Lee Bone own the Station House, using it as holiday accommodation.
It will be a year, if not longer, before their trade can return to normal, the couple said.
Mrs Bone said: "In short, we will now be missing peak trade this year, and next year.
"We still have our kids to support and while we have income protection insurance through the business even that is 6-8 weeks off coming to fruition with an interim payment."
In a previous statement Mrs Bone said: "As a family we are left heartbroken that the place we poured our heart and souls into has become the subject of such a selfish and thoughtless act.
"We are heartbroken beyond belief."
Two crews from Worcester Fire Station attended along with Malvern, Upton and the incident command unit from Ledbury.
All people were accounted for as the fire spread from the balcony to the ground and first floor.
