A convicted rapist has been sentenced to 21 years following a trial in Worcester.
David Gilks, of Sayers Avenue in Malvern, was sentenced for a second rape at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, February 17.
The 30-year-old will serve 14 years in prison and a further seven years on extended license.
In addition, he was sentenced to four years in prison for coercive control, which will be served concurrently.

He will also be subject to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order.
Gilks was found guilty of the charges on December 23 following a trial at Worcester Crown Court.
The offences, which included the rape of an adult woman, took place in 2019.
Detective Inspector Dave Hall, who led the investigation, said: “I hope Gilks’ sentence sends a clear and strong message that we can and do take all reports of rape seriously, and will work tirelessly to secure charges against those responsible.
“Reporting crimes like these can take a lot of courage, and I would like to commend the victim in this case on the immense strength she showed in coming forward to police, and also throughout the trial.
“There’s a wealth of help and support available for people who have been affected by rape, sexual assault, coercive control and similar crimes, regardless of whether they have been reported to the police.
“The effect of crimes like these can’t be underestimated and I would urge anyone who has been affected to take advantage of the help available.”
