A Worcestershire music festival has apologised to people on its mailing list who thought they were being scammed.
Upton Blues Festival wanted to email loyal campers to ask them to vote in the upcoming UK Blues Awards, at which the festival has been nominated.
But, it admitted in a Facebook post, “we hit the wrong button”.
“If you’ve received an email from us with 2022 camping tickets, it’s not a scam but a genuine mistake,” the post explained.

“We’re sorry to have caused confusion and cluttered your inbox. If you’re kind enough to forgive us, perhaps you’ll vote anyway.”
The festival is a finalist for the Best UK Blues-based Festival award. The deadline for voting is Sunday, February 19 and you can find links to vote on the Upton Blues Festival Facebook page.
