A COMMUNITY orchestra will play a charity concert at a Malvern church later this month.
The Malvern Community String Orchestra will be performing at Lansdowne Crescent Methodist Church on Saturday, February 18.
The concert, which begins at 7.30pm, will feature a range of string orchestra music including works by John Ireland and John Tavener.
The orchestra was formed five years ago and has grown to a membership of around 25 regular players who rehearse every Thursday morning in the church hall at Lansdowne Crescent.
This will be the third concert the orchestra has put on at the church.
There is no charge for attending the concert, but there will be a retiring collection to raise money for the Wychumvi charity, which raises money to provide food for orphans attending The Gofu Juu school in Tanzania.
