There are many walking routes that take in the glorious Malvern Hills.
But there are others that allow you to take in the beauty and history of the area without venturing onto the hills themselves.
Maybe you’re looking for a flatter walk to save your legs, or just feel that you’d like to explore other parts of the area. Either way, we’ve got you covered.
Malvern Town Trail
This 1.2-mile walking trail takes roughly two hours, according to Malvern Hill District Council, and takes in many of the town’s fine historic buildings.
It focuses particularly on buildings with a link to Malvern’s Victorian water cure, which brought fame and investment to the town in the 19th century.
The trail takes in The Unicorn, which is one of the old buildings in the area, and Park View, which housed Dr James Wilson’s water cure clinic.
Cob House Country Park
Just a few miles north of Malvern, you can enjoy a circular walk around this country park, starting at the Mayfly Cafe and heading out towards Ankerdine Lane.

If you’re looking to keep children occupied along the way, this walk is one of a number in the area that is also a ClueQuest walk.
These are family-friendly routes that have clues for you to solve along the way. There are 25 clues in total, spread across five routes.
Smith End Green
This walk - another ClueQuest walk - starts and ends at the Leigh and Bransford Memorial Village Hall, where there is plenty of parking.
It’s a 3.8-mile walk and takes you west from the village hall, through Castle Green towards Bransford Golf Club. You’ll then take a turn north towards Leigh and Tithe Barn, then back south through Smith End Green.

Madresfield
Another circular walk, this one starts at the lodge of Madresfield Court, which is opposite Madresfield Early Years centre.
It follows Madresfield Brook for a time, before taking a turn into woodland at New Coppice and back along footpaths towards the village.
