A man has been warned after riding a dirt bike on Malvern residents’ gardens.
West Mercia Police have issued a Community Protection Notice written warning following reports of anti-social behaviour.
It was reported that the man had regularly been seen riding a dirt bike on roads and footpaths, as well as on residents' front gardens, in the Poolbrook area of Malvern.
Police say that numerous such reports were made to the Pickersleigh and Chase Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Residents say the behaviour caused “alarm and distress” and had a “detrimental effect on their quality of life”.
PCSO Kevin Tudge said: “We would like to thank the many residents who reported this to us, it is only by working together with members of our community in this way that we can help keep Malvern Safe.
“We encourage members of the public to report any such issues to police.”
The warning was issued on Wednesday, December 14, and will remain in place for a year.
In 12 months’ time, the warning will be reviewed and police say that failure to stop this anti-social behaviour could result in the man being issued with a Community Protection Notice.
Any breach of such a notice would be considered a criminal offence and carries a penalty of a fine up to level four for individuals (£2,500), or £20,000 for businesses.
