LONG traffic delays have built up between Malvern and Worcester following a flood on the road.
People driving between Worcester and Malvern today have been asked to use a diversion instead of travelling on the A449 at Newland.
The road was closed last night (Monday) after a water main burst and flooded the road by Swan Inn.
Police and a team from Worcestershire Highways were at the scene redirecting traffic.

Temporary traffic lights have been placed on the road but they are causing long delays in the area.
Drivers are being asked to use the B4424 Callow End and A4103 Bransford.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire Highways said: "If travelling between Worcester and Malvern today please consider routes via B4424 Callow End & A4103 Bransford - A449 via Powick very congested due to following significant water main burst at Newland by Swan Inn last night."
