Details of Malvern’s Christmas lights switch-on for 2022 have been unveiled.
The switching on of the lights in Great Malvern is just one part of a day full of festive celebrations.
There are activities taking place at venues around the town on Saturday, November 26 as part of the Great Malvern Christmas Festival.
Great Malvern Priory Church will be open for refreshments with entertainment taking place throughout the day, including the Malvern Music Centre String Orchestra at 11.10am and the Lost Cat Jazz Trio at 12pm.

In the church grounds, an arts and crafts market will be on all day, with entertainment provided by the street performers of Solo Circus.
Other activities happening all day include children’s rides, stalls and a food market in Abbey Road, and vintage cars on display in Church Street.
There will be perforances by X-Sighted Morris Dancers, the i-Sing choir, Appleyard Dancers, Old Meg Morris and Santa Sax.
In Great Malvern Library, Father Christmas himself will be meeting the children of Malvern between 10am and 4pm.
Christmas lantern parade returns to Malvern
The library will also be offering refreshments, a craft workshop and musical activities. The Iapetus Gallery will have free face painting all day.
The lantern parade, which has been much-missed in recent years, makes its return this year.
Children from Malvern schools will display their illuminated artworks in a parade from Malvern Theatres, up Church Street to Belle Vue Island.
BBC Hereford & Worcester will be on the stage on Belle Vue Island from 2.30pm, with music from Dukes Jazz Society, Malvern St James Junior Choir and vocalist Mitzy.
The big switch on itself will take place at 6pm with the stars of this year’s pantomime, Beauty and the Beast.
Ledbury’s Christmas lights switch on takes place the following day, with mayor Phillip Howells and the town’s carnival princesses performing the big switch-on at 5pm outside the Market House.
From 12pm to 5.30pm on Sunday, November 27, there will be food stalls and entertainment in the High Street including a choir and brass band.
