The mayor of Upton was among those to pay their respects as the town marked Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.
Councillor Shirley Dobbin laid a wreath outside the Memorial Hall on Friday, November 11, during a short remembrance ceremony.
Visitors and residents were invited to gather at the hall, where a prayer, reading and two minutes’ silence took place.

On Sunday, November 13, Upton’s annual Remembrance Sunday parade made its way from New Street to the parish church, then following a service, to the War Memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony.
