A former special forces sergeant and star of SAS: Who Dares Wins is coming to Malvern in the New Year.
Jason Fox will be sharing his life experiences, which include gun fights, hostage rescues, daring escapes and his battle with PTSD, with audiences across the UK in January and February.
His Life at the Limit tour will stop at Malvern’s Forum Theatre on January 24.
Best known as a tough talker trainer on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, Jason spent 20 years in the Marines and Special Forces and saw many colleages killed and injured on the front line.
But it was the dealing with the mundanity of civilian life after receiving a medical discharge that saw Jason reach his lowest moment - parked up in a cliff-top car park, on the brink of ending his own life.
“I was having a nightmare of a day – couldn’t see the purpose of anything, work wasn’t good, I’d had a massive argument, and just felt ‘What’s the point?’,” he said.
“I’d been in the military for 20 years. I used to be awesome at something, and without that I felt maybe my usefulness on the planet was over.”
Jason Fox 'proud' of SAS: Who Dares Wins
“Looking back, I don’t know what stopped me,” he said. “But I guess I just wasn’t quite ready to give up.
“I had a word with myself, realised things had to change and that moment of honesty was a real defining moment.”
Finding a new sense of purpose in life, Jason set up his own mental health charity and started a TV career after being approached to be an expert for SAS: Who Dares Wins.
He says he’s proud of the show and surprised at how big it has become.

“What’s also been surprising is what I’ve learned from the experience – not to judge people, to give people another chance,” he said.
“And it does help to fill the ‘gap’ left from military life. When we’re out filming, there’s a team of people all working together to get a job done under some tough conditions.”
Jason’s tour also stops off at Hereford’s Courtyard theatre on February 4. For more details head to www.ents24.com/uk/tour-dates/jason-fox
