A NEW drop-in service has launched in Bromyard to help people get advice.
Citizens Advice Herefordshire is launching the new service in the town from October 28.
On a fortnightly basis, between 10am and 12pm, people can drop into the Bromyard Town Council offices where they can access help on debt, benefits or housing issues from expert caseworkers.
CAH is continuing to work with the Hope Centre to offer weekly appointments there to their clients.
Sonya Gregory, advice services manager, said: "Our new Drop in is part of our aim to make free advice services more accessible to the people of Herefordshire and is the first of our new outreach services to offer this.
"It comes at a time where many are justly concerned about the steeply rising costs of living, particularly costs around fuel and energy impacting severely, particularly on those with lower incomes."
"We are concerned at the increasing interest rates will only add to this burden our clients are experiencing."
CAH has already hired a number of new volunteers this year, with more recruitment set to happen in December and January to allow the service to meet rising demand.
Citizens Advice Herefordshire provides free, independent, impartial and confidential advice on benefits, cost of living, consumer issues, family issues, debt and more to individuals across Herefordshire.
If someone is unable to access the Drop in, they can contact Citizens Advice Herefordshire on 0344 826 9685, text on 0786 00 77 311 or email: advice@citaherefordshire.org.uk and they will make contact as soon as possible, calling from a withheld number.
