The week coincides with Project EDWARD, which is the biggest platform for showcasing good practice in road safety in the UK.
The platform seeks to raise awareness on road safety, with its tagline being "every day without a road death".
The platform is managed by Projects Zero and is backed by the UK government, the emergency services, highways agencies, road safety organisations and British businesses.
The Project EDWARD week of action first began on Monday, October 17 and ends on Friday, October 21.
