NEW jobs are being created in Malvern as one of the town's care homes looks to expand.
Courthouse Care Home is hiring more than 20 new staff both inside the care home and outside.
To ensure more residents can be cared for in a home-from-home setting and help the wider community.
Part of the Superior Care Group Ltd, Courthouse is looking to recruit more than 20 people to come and work as either registered nurses or care home staff at the organisation based in Court Road.
Home manager Jane Pugh said care homes across the country are facing their “biggest challenge yet” when it comes to recruitment and retention.
The home currently has 10 registered nurse vacancies which it hopes to address in the coming weeks.
Mrs Pugh said: "We know that when we attract the staff from the local area, we tend to keep them for a long time and they become part of our work family, and so we’re pleased to be able to open our doors to new recruits this summer.
"Joining us now is an exciting time for the home as we embark on a £2m renovation following the change in ownership earlier this year.
"We want to attract the best of the best because we know we’re working on becoming the best of the best – and we want more full- and part-time day and night staff who reflect the diverse nature of the people we look after each and every day."
