ONE of Malvern's most popular annual events has been taking place over the weekend.
The Malvern Well Dressing Festival sees wells around the town decorated each year.
The festival began on Friday (April 29), with this year's theme being literature.
54 dressed wells in total can be seen throughout Malvern as part of the festival.
The annual event celebrates the history of Malvern, from its spring water and Victorian water cure to the area's ancient Pagan traditions.
It is brought to the town by the Malvern Spa Association with local businesses and community groups taking part.
Rick Banbury, the Well Dressing Festival organiser, said that some of the pictures that are being sent in are "enchanting".
He said: "The people of Malvern absolutely love it, being able to organise it is truly amazing.
"Some of the pictures we have been seeing are entirely enchanting and it just makes me so proud of Malvern.
"Where else could you find a public festival with so much participation? It is just amazing to see."
The amazing designs have included Alice in Wonderland, The Secret Garden and even a tribute to Her Majesty The Queen.
Around 200 adults and over 500 school children have taken part in dressing the wells across Malvern.
Visitors can view the wells by setting off across the hills on foot, by bike or on a self-drive tour.
Maps can be downloaded from the Malvern Well Dressing Facebook page or from Malvern Tourist Information Centre.
Dance performances by the AKAcademy were taking place at midday today outside the Priory Gatehouse on Abbey Road.
Musical performances and ceremonies were also held in honour of the festival.
