THERE aren’t many people who can list running a kitchen at a five-star hotel in the Czech Republic on their CV but that’s one of the many accomplishments of former head chef Eva Hughes, responsible for the newest bakery in Malvern.
Eva’s opened its doors in Graham Road earlier just a few weeks ago – the result of a lifetime’s ambition for Eva.
The business produces cakes, desserts, sandwiches, baguettes, all-day breakfasts, salads, jacket potatoes, soups, toasties, hot and cold food to eat in or take out, tea, coffees and milkshakes.
It also makes luxury cakes to order.
“Setting up this business has been Eva’s lifetime ambition,” says husband Richard, “and it has been extremely gratifying that the customers are so appreciative of Eva’s cooking.
“Eva has more than 20 years’ experience of working in restaurants and bakeries, and has been a head chef at a five star hotel in the Czech Republic.
“It has been Eva’s lifetime ambition to run her own business, and she is now living that dream. Eva also bakes luxurious cakes and desserts to order, and can provide the perfect cake for any occasion.
“Customers are welcome to sit down and have a chat with us. We endeavour to accommodate any requests and suggestions from any of our customers.”
