ORGANISATIONS can get slice of £1.2million funding to successfully reduce their environmental footprint.
The capital funding is available to support projects that can reduce carbon levels in public-sector buildings across the county.
The Worcestershire County Council funding is there to help applicants to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings and invest in renewable energy technologies, but there is only a week left to apply.
The Public Sector Energy Efficiency grant funding can help to fund up to 40% of the total NET project costs, awarding up to £200,000.
Liz Alston, Sustainability Manager at Worcestershire County Council said, “The programme has been able to help many public sector organisations to successfully reduce their environmental footprint.
"With just a week left to apply, I strongly encourage those eligible to apply. The application process is simple and efficient.
"To date, 100% of eligible applications have successfully secured PEEP funding.”
The grant is able to support public sector organisations to invest in energy-saving measures such as renewable energy systems, heat decarbonisation, smart LED lighting, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and even whole-building retrofits.
Larger project proposals are also due to be considered as part of the funding.
Interested applicants must submit their paperwork to the PEEP team by 11.59pm on Sunday, May 1 2022.
All of the projects must be completed by the end of May 2023.
