NEW jobs are in store at a care home in Malvern as a multi-million pound revamp gets underway.
Around 20 new staff are being hired to work at Courthouse Care Home in Barnards Green after it was taken over by the Superior Care (Midlands) Ltd.
The new owners' plan for the site also includes a multi-million pound refurb of the site, which looks after both younger and older adults.
Included in the revamp are a hydrotherapy pool, bistro and cinema, as well as redecoration of the buildings on-site.
This is subject to planning permission, with residents being consulted over changes to the home.
Courthouse has been taken over by Superior Care, replacing previous owners HC One.
Jane Pugh, manager at Courthouse Care Home, said: "We are excited for the future especially with a family-owned group behind us, which we know our local community will value.
"Superior Care has two outstanding homes based in the Midlands, both of which are renowned for excellent and specialist levels of person-centred care, beautiful and modern interiors and a strong ethos of family and kindness at its core.
"We welcome the changes to Courthouse and we are looking forward to opening our doors to new families who want the very best for their loved ones."
Immediate changes will see the home given a new look with structural changes bringing it up to date.
Courthouse, in Court Road, is made up of two separate buildings; one for the elderly and the second for younger adults.
It provides care to adults with complex needs and includes range of age groups.
Set in sensory gardens and with ample parking and outdoor terraced areas, it has been a care home for many years and with a good reputation locally, being rated as "good" by the Care Quality Commission.
It is registered with the CQC to provide care to adults aged eighteen and over.
The home provides care to residents with palliative nursing needs, younger adults with brain injuries and residential supported living.
Courthouse also works alongside the Stroke Association, Headway and Dementia Friends.
