AFTER an emotional ceremony the winners of the Worcestershire Education Awards have been revealed tonight.
It was a fantastic evening with wonderful host Matthew Burton, who shot to fame after becoming the face of the hit documentary Educating Yorkshire.
His warmth, humour, style and energetic style of teaching endeared him to audiences the country over, and that shone through in his hosting duties for the awards.
As a newspaper we are so proud to have been able to run these awards and put our fantastic educators in the limelight.
The awards, run in conjunction with the University of Worcester, were a big success after hundreds nominated people and organisations that readers felt were worthy of congratulations.
Readers took the opportunity to watch the event live on Worcester News' Facebook page. If you missed it, or want to rewatch the ceremony, visit our Facebook page where the video is available to view.
