A MYSTERIOUS pink glow was spotted in the skies over Malvern last night (Tuesday).
People were left scratching their heads wondering why the strange pink light could be seen after the sun set.
James Beresford pictured the vibrant pink glow in the sky from Poolbrook and Paul Etheridge pictured them in Malvern Link.
People have assumed it was either the Northern Lights which were forecast last night.
The Met Office posted on Facebook saying: "A geomagnetic storm is forecast for overnight tonight (Tuesday). This means an aurora is possible.
"Whilst Northern Scotland will be best placed to see this, depending on the strength of this storm and weather conditions, the Northern Lights may be visible as far south as North Wales and north Norfolk."
However, people have pointed out that the lights were seen to the east rather than the north.
Lights from a farm in Pershore have also been suggested after a similar pink glow was seen in the town in 2020.
Tomatoes were the culprit that time - or rather the lights used inside greenhouses to grow them all year round.
We have contacted The Met Office and will update the story once it has responded.
