Malvern appears set for mild and mostly dry weather over the bank holiday weekend.
Temperatures on New Year’s Day could reach 13C, according to the Met Office, with rain not forecast until 11pm.
The temperature is set to drop on Sunday, January 2 with highs of 11C and lows of 8C. The Met Office predicts a cloudy start followed by heavy showers at lunchtime and into the afternoon, drying up by the evening.
Bank Holiday Monday looks dry at the moment, with a mix of sunshine and cloud. Temperatures will continue to drop, so we can expect more typical January temperatures of 4C or 5C by Monday night.
Earlier this week, Malvern weatherman Frank Hill told us New Year’s Eve could be the warmest on record, with temperatures of 15C forecast.
Mr Hill said the record for Malvern is 16C, set in December 1974 and in January 2003.
