THE area with the biggest rise in Covid in Malvern has been revealed.
Public Health England (PHE) said 278 new Covid cases have been recorded in Malvern in the week up to December 9, down 13.9 per cent on the previous week.
Barnard's Green, which includes Poolbrook Road, Guarlford Road and Madresfield Road, saw the biggest rise in the district with cases up 26.3 per cent to 24 cases.
Broadheath, Sinton and Alfrick, covering Longley Green, Brockamin Lane and Crown East Lane, is up 10.9 per cent to 51 cases.
Kempsey and Ryall, which includes Severn Stoke, Station Road and Post Office Lane, is up 7.7 per cent to 42 cases.
Malvern Line, including Worcester Road, Lower Howsell Road and Stocks Lane, had the equal amount of cases to the previous week, with 9 cases.
Malvern Wells and Priory, which includes Marlbank, Wells Road and Hanley Road, saw the biggest drop reducing 50 per cent to 15 cases.
Colletts Green, Callow End and Hanley, which includes Guarlford, The Hook, Deblins Green and Malvern Road, was down 34.3 per cent to 23 cases.
North Malvern, covering West Malvern Road, Cowleigh Road and Leigh Sinton Road, was down 6.5 per cent to 29 cases.
And the area of Upton Upon Severn, Welland and Eldersfield, which includes Link End Road, Underhill Farm Lane and Drake Street, saw a drop of 54.8 per cent that week to 14 cases.
Meanwhile the latest all settings figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show 10 people from the county died of coronavirus in a week.
The ONS data shows the 10 deaths took place in the week up to December 3.
In comparison nine people from Worcestershire died with Covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate in the previous week.
One person from Malvern Hills died, one person from Worcester, and two people from Wychavon died - in all hospital.
The 10 deaths, in the week up to December 8, means a total of 1,486 have so far died from Covid-19 in 'all settings' in Worcestershire.
