A HOUSE in Malvern with a famous former owner is on the market.

Royal Spa Lodge, in West Malvern Road, is being sold online via Fine and Country for offers starting at £700,000.

The house was formerly owned by Jenny Lind, the "Swedish Nightingale".

The singer, who came back to prominence from the film The Greatest Showman, spent the last few years of her life in the town, including her final ever performance, which came at Royal Spa Lodge.

The Victorian-era house is being sold as a luxury property, with six bedrooms, two bathrooms and a re-fitted kitchen and breakfast room.

On top of this, there is a dining area, sitting room and spacious cellar.

It looks out onto the Malvern Hills and has parking on-site.

The online brochure for the property includes quotes from the current owners.
