A MAN assaulted two people, one of them a police officer, in Malvern.
Dean Davis was in the town when he was asked to leave a premises he was banned from entering under a criminal behaviour order.
When asked to leave, he refused, assaulting a man and a police officer.
55 year-old Davis, of Holmwood Gardens, Evesham, appeared before magistrates in Worcester on October 11 where he admitted two separate charges of assaulting PC Simon Olczak, both on the same day.
He also admitted refusing to leave the premises despite being asked to do so having been banned under a criminal behaviour order made in May 2021.
He also pleaded guilty to an assault on a member of the public.
All of the offences took place on August 26 this year, with Davis originally pleading not guilty before changing his plea.
Magistrates handed him a 12-month suspended prison sentence along with a £180 fine, £100 in compensation and a £34 victim surcharge for the assault on PC Olczak.
For the second assault on PC Olczak he was also fined £180.
There was no separate penalty for the assault on a member of the public, but he was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
