Readers have reacted in support of the temporary closure of Malvern Theatres.
The theatre announced on December 26 on its Facebook page that the theatre is closed "following two confirmed cases of Covid-19 amongst its staff".
Mark Jones, who was due to appear in panto, said: "I would like to thank everyone at the theatre Nic, Fred and all the tech crew for all the support and love they have shown in helping me to bring my show to Malvern.
"This decision is not taken lightly but the safety of everyone is paramount."
Julie Harding: "Absolutely the right decision for staff and audiences, best wishes to every one of you.
"Mark, we are gutted for you as putting this show on for your fans was a real light in this dark year and I’m sure you put a lot of effort into it.
"Hold that show and put it on when life is back to a more normal."
Katherine Morgan said: "Sending you lots of love and best wishes."
The building will remain closed until at least January 6 and all performances and film screenings for that period have been cancelled, but full refunds will be issued.
