A SO-CALLED Nottingham Knocker has had his bag confiscated by police after being reported in Upton.
A number of residents reported being approached by the seller, who was reported for summons as well as having his bag taken.
A spokesman for Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Teams said: "The door to door seller was located, his bag seized and was reported for summons for acting without a peddler’s licence.
"Please contact me if he visited you today: susan.parr@westmercia.pnn.police.uk"
Nottingham Knockers are doorstep callers who offer a selection of household products for sale.
The scam is believed to have originated in Nottingham, hence the name.
The callers are often ex-convicts who claim to be part of a rehabilitation scheme which probably doesn't exist.
Callers offer householders the goods at inflated prices, using the sale as a ruse for casing out the home of the person they are visiting.
